Q&A with Greg Hyttenrauch, Vice President - CEO Outsourcing Services, UK
Can you describe Outsourcing UK?
Capgemini is a global leader in outsourcing. We work with a wide range of clients and deliver tailored and sustainable solutions to their most complex business problems.
Capgemini Outsourcing Services (OS) draws on the expertise of more than 25,000 employees to manage, innovate and improve the IT systems and business processes of its clients. Capgemini OS offers a full spectrum of services including Applications Outsourcing, Infrastructure Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing and Transformational Outsourcing.
In 2009 we signed a landmark contract with the Environment Agency; the first of its kind where sustainability is at the core. It will change the way that outsourcing is delivered and structured in the future and is the most important contract in the history of our business. Other highlights included being named Global Application Management Services (AMS) Provider of the year by SAP and being recognised at the 2009 National Outsourcing Association Awards in London, winning the Best Public Sector Outsourcing Project of the Year and Best IT Outsourcing Project of the Year.
Why are graduates so important to Outsourcing UK?
Our people are key to our success and within OSUK we are committed to investing in new talent through our graduate programme. We pride ourselves on the many opportunities we offer for development, growth and reward for our employees and for 2010 one of my top five priorities is to keep people at the forefront of our business.
In OSUK we recruit graduates on our Outsourcing Graduate Academy (OGA) to be deployed and developed in a progressive way that will maximise their potential, and their contribution to the business, thereby providing a return on the financial investment made early in their career by Capgemini.
We look for high calibre individuals with talent and potential; with personal resilience and character; with the drive and desire to achieve.
Why should graduates join Outsourcing UK?
A number of unique and exciting opportunities are currently available within our 2010 Outsourcing Graduate Academy. The OGA will provide you with a structured training and development program in which, depending on the role, you will learn and apply a wide range of technical and general management skills. From the outset you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior managers and specialists from across the business and you will gain first-hand exposure to our world class processes and methodologies.
You’ll also benefit from a culture that puts its people first; we have fast-track academies, a fantastic reward scheme and a sophisticated mentoring programme to ensure the best start to your career and support personally at an executive level.
