Why did you apply to Capgemini?

After speaking with existing graduates, I knew that Capgemini was the place for me. I found that the wide range of industries, projects and opportunities excited me. I wanted to develop skills in both technology and business alongside a true global leader. I wanted to be challenged. I wanted to tailor my learning towards a career path that is suited to my interests. Capgemini undoubtedly delivers this and much more.

What is your favourite aspect about Capgemini?

The most valuable aspect of Capgemini is its people and its culture. Capgemini lists honesty, boldness and fun amongst its core values. This is evident throughout the entire organisation. Right from day one I was surrounded by a wealth of support and advice. I was assigned a buddy to ease me into the company, a reviewer that I meet with on a regular basis who offers support when needed and communities of business units eager to help me develop new skills. Everybody is treated as someone who adds value to the business.

Why would you recommend Capgemini as a graduate employer?

The opportunities and project work at Capgemini are endless. The organisation works across multiple industries from banking through to aerospace and is a partner of many different technologies such as SAS, Adobe, SAP and Oracle. Therefore, graduates are given the chance to choose a career path that interests them and matches their strengths.

Aside from project work, Capgemini has fantastic extracurricular events with great social aspects to them. For example, graduates are able to participate in a Raleigh leadership weekend where you will spend a weekend leading teams alongside

If you are looking for a challenge, real work, and a company that significantly invests in its graduates then Capgemini is the place for you.

What is the best thing you have learned during your time at Capgemini?

I have learned how I to manage my time effectively. Due to the nature of consulting there are periods where you will be extremely busy with fast approaching deadlines and other times when the work is quieter. Capgemini has taught me how to plan so that I hit my targets during the busier periods and to continue developing my skills and seek training when my workload is calmer.

What is the best part about your graduate scheme?

The Capgemini graduate programme offers a real sense of community. It hosts regular social and training events through that graduates can connect, network and increase their skill sets. Additionally each graduate is placed into an ‘Affinity Group’ with the aim of adding value to the programme. In my group I have interviewed senior level management, built web pages and as a result, expanded my network and developed new skills.

The graduate programmes at Capgemini allow you to discover an area of business that you have a passion for. It encourages you to drive and develop yourself to reach your own goals and fulfil your potential.
