What made me join Capgemini? Well, the company is a recognised leader in Consulting, Technology and Outsourcing, and I regularly came across the name in academic and industry journals. The stature and reputation of the firm made it a highly attractive company to work for.
Another factor was the way in which Capgemini engages with its employees. This clearly differentiates us from our competitors, as does our commitment to corporate social responsibility.
During my time on the programme, I have been engaged in global project management work in the area of service delivery. Right now, I’m working on an asset resource optimisation project, which involves helping Poland maintain its competitive edge in the IT outsourcing sector. We’re bringing together a team of experts to see how this can be achieved, and how Polish outsourcing can remain sustainable long into the future.
The workload has been tough, but not overwhelming. There is a great emphasis on work/life balance, here at Capgemini. There’s a great emphasis on teamwork as well. I couldn’t have been offered more support by my line manager, and the whole place has a definite family feel. It’s a real boost to your motivation.
All in all, I’m excited about what I’m doing at Capgemini, and I’m really happy to be here.
