'Core' or 'Content Focused' Management Consulting streams?

Core

The core stream within the CDC programme is for candidates who want to experience a broad range of exposure to sectors and consulting areas before making up their mind as to where they want to specialise. During the programme, you will be trained in the skills that are required to make you a world class consultant in any organisational context and, most importantly, you will have the opportunity to use these skills on a number of interesting client engagements. You will be involved in different parts of the consulting business, internal operations as well as sales efforts to a range of clients. This exposure, experience and the network of contacts gained along the way will help you to decide which area within Capgemini consulting you wish to enter at the end of the programme.

Content Focused

The content focused streams within the CDC programme will increase your opportunities to gain valuable experience in your chosen field, and you will typically have some prior industry or relevant academic experience. As well as building up your general consulting skills on client projects, you will benefit from increased exposure to our exciting and challenging work in that field by aligning to one of our world class teams. This includes developing tools, consulting offers and sales activity as well as spending time on a range of team and client projects through the programme. This will enable you to build up a strong network with clients within your chosen field, to help ensure you are well positioned for promotion into this consulting area at the end of the programme. You will also benefit from all of the foundation aspects of the programme - such as pastoral support and training - which will provide you with the skills and tools to become a world class consultant.
