Technology Transformation helps today’s business and IT leaders define the strategy, innovation, operations and governance that will deliver competitive advantage. We do this in two ways. Firstly, by helping CXOs become digital leaders through digital transformation and secondly, helping CIOs meet their industrial and technology challenges.
Supply Chain Management is how companies get their products or their services to their customers, whether customers are other companies or end consumers. Our Supply Chain team has 4 sub-teams, all aiming to make clients’ supply chains more efficient and responsive while reducing bottom-line costs and enhancing overall business performance. These are: Operational Excellence, Procurement Transformation, Logistics and Fulfilment and Retail.
Marketing, Sales & Service is dedicated to the customer and we see every customer interactions as an opportunity to improve the experience customers receive and to make the company more successful. It is the job of the MSS team to create and implement a distinct customer experience for our clients. On our projects, we are at the forefront of digital transformation maximising the use of online, social media and mobile applications and website technologies as well as cutting edge innovations such as social CRM, mobile marketing and optimising multi-channel services. We also deploy traditional tools such as customer segmentation, customer strategy, service enhancement and contact centre design, to help our clients better understand their customers and serve them profitably.
Employee Transformation specialises in all things ‘People’: it is the home of Capgemini’s HR and People Change experts. All organisations are the sum of their people and the effectiveness of HR strategies can make the difference between success and failure. Employee Transformation works with clients to help organisations to build and achieve the HR and people solutions that support their business requirements and future vision. Broadly speaking our work can be divided into two; 1) the operating of the HR function itself, optimising the effectiveness of the function and enabling the best service to be delivered to the business and 2) the wider workforce, looking at how to optimise the performance of the companies employees, often through the work of HR.
Financial Transformation works with CFOs to design and deliver their transformation agendas to position organisations for the challenges of the future. Our commitment is to deliver significant improvements in value and performance both to Finance and the Organisation as a whole. We deal with the major questions on the CFO’s Agenda to help them to grow the ‘top line’ and minimise costs: How do we maximise the value of Finance? What should my Finance Operating Model look like? How can we develop our Finance business partners? Which products, customers and channels are most profitable? Should we outsource Finance & Accounting? How can we align our strategic thinking with our Sales & Operations Planning? How can we get the most out of our Finance Systems?
Operational Research uses mathematical modelling and analytical techniques to find solutions to our clients’ business problems. We are often called to provide our expert skills in areas such as economic modelling and business case development, risk modelling, optimisation, simulation, systems dynamics or forecasting. OR consultants sometimes work on their own, but more often as part of a teams of consultants from other Capgemini Consulting disciplines where, because of our modelling expertise, we are seen as highly valuable and sought after members of the team. Projects tend to be short and sharp, lasting on average between six and ten weeks. As such, you’ll gain insight into lots of different kinds of problems and a wide range of private and public sector clients. As a result of this you will have a challenging but very rewarding time as part of the OR team. Please note that graduate applicants to the Operational Research CU are required to meet the additional selection criteria.
