Technology Transformation

Technology Transformation (TT) helps today’s business and IT leaders define the strategy, innovation, operations and governance that will deliver competitive advantage. We do this in two ways. Firstly, by helping CxOs become digital leaders through digital transformation and secondly, helping CIOs meet their industrial and technology challenges.

The practice aims to significantly grow its global market presence in 2011 through:

  • Promoting our Digital Transformation market-leading offering for creating transformation shifts in business strategy and performance through the use of web, mobile and social media technologies.
  • Continuing to provide leading-edge advisory services to CIO’s of global organisations that are facing significant industrial, technology and innovation challenges.
  • Developing market awareness and thought-provoking dialogue with CxOs through our Global CxO report on technology

Capgemini Consulting has approximately 200 dedicated Technology Transformation consultants around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leading and growing advisory practice.

Technology Transformation’s key differentiators are its go-to-market propositions. We develop innovative solutions that capitalize on technology, while defining new, efficient operating models which will deliver bottom line results, such as Accelerated IT Rationalisation.

  • Digital Transformation: Drives competitive advantage through the use of Digital technology by creating new business models and services. Innovative technologies for the enterprise, such as cloud computing, mobile, social CRM and digital marketing transformation programmes can enable companies to build a competitive advantage. We combine a deep understanding of technology’s potential to transform business with a significant knowledge of consumer behaviour and a proven ability to design and assess new business models.
  • IT Strategy: Delivers an IT Roadmap for IT objectives: aligning IT with business aims, improving IT delivery approach and enhancing performance throughout client processes. To do this the IT Strategy will review and prepare improvement plans across a range of IT areas, including among others:
    • Information strategy
    • IT sourcing strategy
    • Enterprise Architecture design
    • IT due diligence
  • IT Performance:  Helps companies realize their business objectives by redefining the strategic importance of the IT organization, with a focus on key drivers of performance improvement. This is achieved through the following:
    • Simplifying and rationalizing infrastructure and system architecture.
    • Developing efficient delivery models for all IT products and services.
    • Revisiting traditional IT function governance and piloting.
    • Defining clear, business oriented IT service catalogue and invoicing principles.

Our Accelerated IT Rationalization [AIR] offer (“Delivering IT cost reductions that don’t compromise performance) is a strong example of an integrated approach to a CIO. AIR demonstrates that the downturn can in fact be used to open minds and overturn traditional assumptions, delivering an IT function that is both lower cost and that enhances delivery of the overall business strategy.

The IT-PMI offer provides a unique experience and framework to meet the integration challenges of global PMI from a CIO perspective.

The Lean IT offer applies well-known Lean principles to IT service delivery. It addresses waste in the IT delivery chain and creates realistic solutions that deliver productivity gains.

Another important example is the Global IT Operating Model offer. Global ITOM provides a blueprint for transforming the IT organisation to reflect key business drivers. It addresses the fundamental IT operational dimensions of processes, sourcing, governance and organisation.

A CDCer joining TT can expect a challenging and rewarding environment in which to start their career. It is not unusual to be interacting with senior clients on high-level programmes, whilst immediately taking on key responsibilities. A CDCer would be entering a structured but friendly environment, with emphasis on learning and fulfilling your potential.
