The Capgemini OS Graduate Academy will provide you with a structured training and development program in which you will learn and apply a wide range of technical and general management skills. Please see below examples of the types of roles we hire for.
Marketing
A graduate role in our marketing team to help drive a range of marketing projects and programmes from a variety of marketing disciplines from press relations to client engagement and account based marketing. Working at a level with visibility and exposure across the outsourcing business and will have the opportunity to liaise with our global marketing teams as well as our clients across all industry sectors.
Bid Management
Our Bid Management team forms part of the Business Winning Unit within Sales and Marketing and is responsible for the running, management, and adherence to process of all major outsourcing bids. The environment provides an excellent opportunity to mix with colleagues in executive positions, technicians, sales and marketing, experts from across the company, and delivery teams.
A graduate in this area manage bid budgets and costs, plan and control the bid process, manage bid documentation including risks, issues and key assumptions, manage various stages of a bid and the quality and timeliness of bid deliverables to the client and for internal approval. A unique and exciting role which will include numerous opportunities to take personal responsibility and ownership.
HR
A graduate role in our forward thinking Human Resources (HR) team. The HR function is part of the Enabling community and works across the whole of Outsourcing UK to support the delivery of the business. A successful candidate will advise and support the business by providing generalist HR support for approximately 400 employees, to ensure effective and proactive case management. There will also be opportunities to be involved with and run initiatives and projects within the HR arena.
Enterprise Services
Enterprise Services provides a number of functions across the entire OS business including Account Management, Service Delivery Management, Project and Programme Management, Commercial and Risk Management, Security and Audit and Compliance. Together these functions work with our sales and service lines to ensure that we sell profitable business and provide a high quality service to our clients in line with our contracts.
As a graduate joining Enterprise Services you will work on a variety of assignments within any of the above functions. These assignments will require contact with internal UK stakeholders, clients (at all levels including CXO), lawyers, third party advisors, subcontractors and Capgemini Group functions.
Services Management Consulting Graduate
Capgemini’s Service Management Consulting (SMC) practice provides strategy, training, mentoring, advice and guidance, delivered by experienced Service Management practitioners, to improve a client’s IT service delivery. This is one of the largest and longest established comparable practices in the UK.
A graduate in this role would be required to support the management team in the development of consulting offers, marketing and sales collateral and the maintenance of team resource, assignments and business plans. In addition, a graduate will spend time supporting an experienced consultant in a client assignment in the planning, facilitation and documentation of workshops, creating assignment deliverables (e.g. reports and presentations), conducting structured interviews / assessments and analysing the results, participating in change programmes affecting both IT and non-IT areas of the business and maintaining assignment plans and reports.
Graduates joining the team will receive extensive training and be paired with an experienced consultant to act as their mentor. This will include Foundation level training in ITIL V3, the core competence of the team.
Infrastructure Outsourcing
A graduate joining our Infrastructure Outsourcing team on the Metropolitan Police Account would come in as an entry level Project Manager. A unique opportunity for a graduate to develop their project and programme management skills, with a view for a long term career in this arena. Also an opportunity to work on Capgemini Outsourcing’s largest UK Account, wherein we manage around 120 projects concurrently.
A successful graduate will be trained in project management skills and will apply these initially on small catalogue purchased infrastructure change projects before going on to manage larger and more complex deliverables.
Commercial Finance
A highly unique opportunity within the Commercial Team of one of our largest Outsourcing accounts. Normally only open to candidates with 5+ years post qualified experience this is a rare opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the commercials that underpin a +£100m per annum deal. Not for the feint hearted, this role will provide challenge and stretch in areas of significant complexity each having multiple impacts and dependencies on the client and due to it’s size the wider UK business. You will be working as part of a recently formed, high performing, results orientated team and interfacing closely with Finance, the wider account and at times directly with the client.
A successful gradaute will assist the Commercial Team in a diverse array of functions such as; Executive level reporting, contract management, proposal development, supply chain management, benchmarking, revenue protection, conflict management and negotiation. As the Commercial Team blends the skill sets of Finance, Legal and Business Development, a degree relevant to at least one of these streams is required (ideally a joint honours degree in Law and Accountancy). A successful candidate will have the opportunity to study with CIMA/ACCA to qualify as an accountant.
